Prince William Sound offers endless breathtaking scenery – active tidewater glaciers, waterfalls, towering mountains and temperate rainforests begging to be hiked in.

Marine wildlife abounds in Prince William Sounds’ rich ecosystem. You’ll have a 98% chance of seeing whales, sea lions, sea otters, eagle, seals, puffins and porpoise on our Alaska cruises of 4-7 days. One day while having lunch humpback whales breached outside our window as we ate. One of our guests commented, “This is like being in a zoo.” July and August are great months to watch thousands of salmon trying to navigate up waterfalls or watch bears feeding on salmon.

Like seafood? Catch a salmon or halibut and we’ll have it for dinner. Fishing is an option on sightseeing tours. Care to dine on the best shrimp in Alaska? We’ll catch ‘em fresh.

Our sightseeing cruises are far from ordinary. I, David Pinquoch, will be your Captain and host on most Alaska cruises. I’ve lived in Alaska 45 years and have spent more than 20 years in Prince William Sound. Prince William Sound is my playground and I work hard to preserve its natural state. I know where the wildlife will be at different times of the season, know how to approach animals without undue disturbance and have collected a wealth of knowledge about Prince William Sound, its history, its wildlife and its future. Every day on the water is different and I treasure nearly all of them. Don’t settle for just a boat ride.

Our Boat, M/V Good Times was designed and built as a live-aboard yacht. It offers 3 private guest cabins that sleep 2 each, 2 heads with walk in showers, a large salon to relax in, a large galley for great meals, and a covered cockpit (outside deck) for those less than perfect days. The Good Times has a full size refrigerator, freezer, clothes dryer and Jennaire oven. M/V Good Times is the right tool for the job. Prince William Sound is protected from the Gulf of Alaska making travel on a 50’ yacht pleasant most of the time. Evenings are spent anchored in protected coves - you often don’t know you are on a boat.

Parties/families of 4-6 work best as you will have the boat exclusively and I will customize the trip specifically for your party. Parties of 2-3 can charter the boat exclusively for the party of 4 rate or I can try to match you up with another smaller party. Parties larger than 6 can be accommodated using 2 boats.

Tour activity options include viewing tidewater glaciers, hiking in the rainforests, whale watching, bird watching, fishing, shrimping, beachcombing, salmon hatchery tours, viewing sea otters, sea lions, seals, eagles, bears and other wildlife in their environment. Ever watched salmon try to navigate waterfalls? Ever seen streams so full of salmon that bears can’t miss catching fish? You can.

Rates are per person and include meals, lodging aboard our yacht, fishing tackle, bait, ice, fish cleaning/filleting, Whittier sales tax, US Forest Service and Alaska State Park fees. Parties of 2-3 can charter our boat exclusively for the party of 4rate. Additional fuel surcharge applied if diesel exceeds $3.00 per gallon.

Tours begin 8-10 am and end 4-6 pm. We also offer an extra night option for $600 per party. Extra night option tours begin at 6 pm and end the last day 4-6 pm.

Deposit/Reservation Policy -Single party bookings require a deposit of $2000 per party to confirm reservations. Deposits are 95% refundable up to 30 days from receipt of deposit. Deposits become non-refundable 31days from receipt of deposit. Balance is due 60 days before departure and funds become non-refundable at that time. Split party bookings (two or more parties) require full payment to confirm reservations and are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation Alaska Good Time Charters LLC will attempt to re-book another party and if successful, refund a portion of your payment. Travel insurance is recommended.

Fishing licenses are required for anyone 16 years of age or older. We recommend obtaining your licenses in advance at www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license
