Blackstone Glacier and Wildlife Tour
Begin your day with a cruise to Blackstone Bay, witness magnificent tidewater glaciers, a
unique cliff hanging glacier, waterfalls and wildlife!
Millions of salmon return to Lake Bay annually, attracting sea lions, seals, sea
otters, eagles, bears and commercial fishing boats that harvest thousands of
salmon. Your afternoon includes a tour of Lake Bay, a walk through tour of the
Wally Noerenberg salmon hatchery and a short guided hike (optional) to a
spectacular hidden waterfall. An incredible, out of the ordinary adventure!
TOURS BEGIN 9 AM from Whittier Harbor and end 4-5 pm.
THE HIKE contains a short moderate rise and steps going down a boardwalk.
The trail is mostly gravel or boardwalk although you may encounter wet or soft spots.
The hike is moderate, the sights are exceptional and worth the effort. Passengers not
able to do the hike may return to the boat after the hatchery tour.
