Live aboard our comfortable 50 yacht while fishing the protected waters
of Prince William Sound. Fish for one species or several. Deep sea fish for halibut,
ling cod, rock fish, salmon sharks and more. Salmon fishing available in both
salt and freshwater. The best fishing in Prince William Sound is often near or
on the edge of the Gulf of Alaska. Multi-day charters give you more fishing time
in the best areas since we stay on or near the fishing grounds. We provide meals,
lodging, fishing tackle (except fly fishing tackle), ice, bait, fish cleaning
and filleting.
Experience matters when choosing a fishing guide. David Pinquoch,
owner of Alaska Good Time Charters, LLC, is captain, fishing guide and host on most
fishing charters. David is a longtime Alaskan resident with more than 40 years
experience fishing Alaska’s pristine waters. After fishing secluded Prince William
Sound waters more than 20 years ago, he found an unequaled fishing experience and now
shares this experience the only way possible – mult-iday live aboard charters.
Book an exclusive charter for your party or share the boat with
another party. We host a maximum of 6 guests in 3 cabins that sleep 2 each. Larger
parties accommodated with additional vessels. Custom fishing/sightseeing combos

What you might catch!
Chum Salmon Fishing | Strong fighters with most running
6-12 pounds. We start picking up chums in early June. June 10th to June 30th is
best for chums and there are lots of them. Daily limit is 6. You may find ocean
bright chum salmon in stores near you. They are often labeled "silver brite". |
Sockeye salmon Fishing | Known as "red" salmon
because of the bright color of the meat. There are several natural red runs and
one hatchery run in Prince William Sound. We catch reds as early as the middle
of May and as late as the end of August. Abundance fluctuates during that period.
If you want to target these fish, call or e-mail and we can offer some peak run
options to allow for the best fishing. Daily limit is 6 in most areas. Reds weigh
in at 5-8 pounds with occasional 10 pounders. |
Pink Salmon Fishing | Some days Prince William
Sound literally has "millions" of pink salmon available. With light
spinning or fly tackle, one can catch dozens of 2-6 pounders daily. Pinks show up in
early July and are available through August. Daily limit is 6 fish per day.
|
Silver/ Coho Salmon Fishing | Acrobatic silver salmon are probably
the most popular fish we catch in Prince William Sound. Several natural and hatchery
runs are available. Historically, July 25th to September 10th has been peak season,
although we have limited out as early as July 7th. Daily limit is 3 - 6 depending on your location.
NOTE:
Daily limits mentioned are 6 salmon total, not 6 of each species.
|
Alaska Halibut Fishing | Sport caught halibut
in Prince William Sound average 40% more than halibut caught in other areas. Halibut
are available from about May 15 to September 15. Increased near shore commercial
fishing is affecting the abundance of halibut near most fishing ports in Alaska.
The best fishing is often 60 or more miles from port. Multi-day halibut fishing
trips allow us the time to put you into the best areas available. |
Salmon Shark Fishing | Salmon sharks are cousins of great
white sharks. The abundance of salmon in Prince William Sound has attracted thousands
of sharks creating excellent opportunities for sport fisherman. Averaging 250-400
hundred pounds, these unique animals are a challenge for any fisherman. When cleaned
properly salmon shark provides on average more than 100 pounds of great eating.
Catch and release if also offered. The best time for shark fishing is July and
the first 3 weeks of August. |
Dolly Varden Fishing | We know a couple streams that have
lots of dolly varden ranging from 12-22 inches. We've caught dolly's from May
to October in Prince William Sound The very best fishing is usually in July. |
Other Species | We also fish for ling cod, yellow
eye rockfish, black rockfish and whatever else bites. |
