Sockeye salmon Fishing

Known as "red" salmon because of the bright color of the meat. There are several natural red runs and one hatchery run in Prince William Sound. We catch reds as early as the middle of May and as late as the end of August. Abundance fluctuates during that period. If you want to target these fish, call or e-mail and we can offer some peak run options to allow for the best fishing. Daily limit is 6 in most areas. Reds weigh in at 5-8 pounds with occasional 10 pounders.

Pink Salmon Fishing

Some days Prince William Sound literally has "millions" of pink salmon available. With light spinning or fly tackle, one can catch dozens of 2-6 pounders daily. Pinks show up in early July and are available most of August. Daily limit is 6 fish per day.

Silver/ Coho Salmon Fishing

Acrobatic silver salmon are probably the most popular fish we catch in Prince William Sound. Several natural and hatchery runs are available. July 25th through September 10th has been best for silvers the last 3 years. Daily limit is 3 - 6 depending on your location.

NOTE:
Daily limits mentioned are 6 salmon total, not 6 of each species.

Alaska Halibut Fishing

Sport caught halibut in Prince William Sound average 40% more than halibut caught in other areas. Halibut are available from about May 15 to September 15. Increased near shore commercial fishing is affecting the abundance of halibut near most fishing ports in Alaska. The best fishing is often 60 or more miles from port. Our 33' boat has the speed to get you into the best fishing areas on day trips. Multi-day halibut fishing trips allow us the time to put you into the best areas available.

Averaging 250-400 hundred pounds, these unique animals are a challenge for any fisherman. When cleaned properly salmon shark provides on average more than 100 pounds of great eating. Catch and release if also offered. The best time for shark fishing is July and the first 3 weeks of August.

Other Species

We also fish for ling cod, yellow eye rockfish, black rockfish and whatever else bites.
